Properties of ice

We conducted a series of research plays in a group of 6-year-olds. The plays were inspired by a speech “What do we know about planets in the Solar System?”
Children, using magazines, newspapers, conversation with their parents, gathered information about planets of the Solar System. The most important planets for children were: Mercury and Pluto. The children are already aware that Pluto is not a planet. It is situated at the end of the Solar System. It is the further object from the Sun and therefore it is very cold there.
The Children were so much interested in the news that research games were conducted. We examined the properties of ice.
AIMS:
• Develop abilities to act individually, make hypotheses and draw conclusions.
• Collect information on different, interesting for children subjects from different sources.
