8th March – International Women’s Day.
Men in Poland have two occasions to adore their ladies with gifts and flowers. One of them is St. Valentine’s Day, which is a very recent tradition in our country and the second one – International Women’s Day.
On that day all women in Poland receive special attention. In the past it was mainly celebrated for the economic, political and social achievements of women, but nowadays it lost its political flavour, and became simply an occasion for men to express their sympathy and love to the women around them.
