As Maria Konopnicka, one of the poets of Polish literature, wrote when ‘Spring comes: the flowers learn their coloured shapes’.

There are signs of spring all around us with cherry blossoms, pear trees, apple trees blooming and one tree is more gorgeous than the last. The sun is rising earlier in the morning and setting later in the afternoon, the days are getting a little warmer.

For farmers it’s one of the busiest times of the year, for others it’s a welcoming break from freezing temperatures and gloomy winter days. Some others say that it is a season of lovers.

But what does the arrival of spring really mean to you?
