Young Diplomats had a real pleasure to take part in a meeting on Indian Culture in Swietochlowice.

The whole event was named after a young photographer - Lech Cichon’s vernisage on his journeys to the far Asian country. He called it ‘My Shangri-La’. According to the Buddhism tradition the term describes ‘a land of everlasting happiness’.

We found extremely interesting not only his amazing photos taken during his two trips but also memories he shared with us.

Another attraction of the Indian evening was ‘Saathi’- young Bollywood dancers. They performed beautifully arranged dances accompanied by the traditional Indian music. We could admired both show and skilful and pretty dancers.

The owner of the tea shop in Swietochlowice, Wojciech Pieczka, gave a demonstration and a lecture on Indian tea - its different brands and how it is grown. After the lecture, we could try its different brands. We were given tips concerning best ways of preparing it so now we can invite some guests round for the best tea ever.
