SCHOOL BACKGROUND
Pusat Tingkatan Enam Berakas is an institution established to provide 6th form education in Negara Brunei Darussalam. This centre began its operation on 26th November 2005, initially with only 391 students. Pusat Tingkatan Enam Berakas now has a grand total of 886 students, 383 of the students make up the upper six students, while the remaining 503 students make up the lower six students. It is expected that there will be 1300 students studying in Pusat Tingkatan Enam Berakas in 2008.

Pusat Tingkatan Enam Berakas covers an area of 6 hectares of land and the construction.  The total number of teaching staff (January 2008) in Pusat Tingkatan Enam Berakas is 87 and consists of a mix of Bruneians and expatriate tutors. There are 19 supporting staff assigned to different duties in the centre.

The centre has variety of teaching and learning facilities including 42 classrooms, 14 science labs, 3 computer labs, 2 art studios, 1 language lab and 1 lecture room. In addition to the labs and classrooms designed for teaching, the centre also has rooms intended for the administration purposes. An illustration of these Administration rooms are those such as the conference room, offices for the principal, the deputy principals and the senior masters and mistresses, and rooms intended for Careers, Welfare and Counseling sections.

This center is also made to provide rooms for students' use such as a library and a Students Council room. Other facilities include prayer rooms, a canteen, a multi-purpose hall, a futsal court and a court for basketball, netball and volleyball games.

During the year 2006 the centre was given the honorable privilege to be visited by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, the Sultan of Negara Brunei Darussalam, and his son, His Royal Highness Paduka Seri Duli Pengiran Muda Haji 'Abdul 'Azim.

During the year, the centre was also visited by the Minister of Education, the Honorable Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohammad Taib.
