Pioneer in spreading Freinet movement over French borders

Renate Thiel 2018-07-28

Margret Schulz came here with 11 participants from Switzerland. She has been working there for nearly thirty years coordinating schools and developing their techniques in a town named Zug www.stadtschulenzug.ch. Before that she worked as principal in a school in Germany. She belongs to the first people, who implemented Freinet techniques into schools around Cologne/Germany. She has worked together with ancient pioneers like Klaus Hoff, who founded the first Freinet school in that area, and Sepp Kasper, who published many flash cards for the independent work of pupils. The Swiss developed their movement at the same time. They had their first national Freinet meeting in 1977. In the 19eighties Margret was asked to work in Switzerland.

It takes me to the forest.

Underneath some little trees grow

and I know why they grow now:

So they can become tall and strong as the others.
