In 2006 OECD’s Centre for Educational Research and Innovation carried out a study on Open Educational Resources (OER) in higher education. The report from the study was published in May 2007 by the OECD under the title "Giving Knowledge for Free -- The Emergence of Open Educational Resources". Since your website or newsletter were one of the promoters of the first study we hope you would like also to help us promote this follow-up study. As in 2006 we will launch an online questionnaire open to anyone interested in the subject. The questionnaire will be open from April 3rd. We hope you are willing to promote the questionnaire to your readers with the following blurb:.

OECD’s Centre for Educational Research and Innovation is carrying out a study on Open Educational Resources (OER) in higher education. As one part of that study we are launching a web based survey for individual teachers, instructors and researchers using and producing OER.

We would like to invite anyone working in a higher educational institution that uses or produces open learning content, such as courses, courseware, content modules, learning objects, collections and journals, or open software tools to develop, use, re-use and deliver learning content, to take our survey. It will not take more than 10-15 minutes to complete.
