Celem tego sondażu jest zmierzenie odczuć oraz przemyśleń młodziezy (poniżej 24 lat) w różnych rejonach świata w kwestiach tożsamości kulturalnej, socjalnej i ekonomicznej. Zamierzeniem tego sondażu jest
(a) określenie do jakiego stopnia młodziez z różnych regionów świata utożsamia się z czynnikami kulturowymi, socjalnymi i ekonomicznymi, które są z poza ich narodowych granic; i
(b) aby zebrać informacje które pomogą w rozwoju nowego kierunku edukacyjnego o obywatelu świata oraz ulepszeniu programu i materiałów jego nauczania.

Our World Global Youth Survey
iEARN is pleased to be a partner in the 2007 Our World global youth survey. Students at New York University are exploring what it means for young people (under the age of 24) to be a Global Citizen Their 2007 Our World survey builds on the success of the 2006 pilot version. Last year more then 3,300 young people from one hundred countries in every major region of the world answered questions regarding the extent to which they identify with cultural, social and economic factors that are outside their national borders. The results are used in the development of curricula and materials in the emerging field of global citizenship education.
This year’s survey aims to collect 10,000 responses from over 100 countries in Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, North and Latin America, and the Caribbean. The survey is available in 8 different languages and administered on the web, via e-mail and postal mail. Soon, Japanese and Arabic versions of the survey will be added to the 8 languages. The Education Development Center, will coordinate survey administration in collaboration with a team of four students from New York University’s (NYU) Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service. The survey will be available until March 1, 2007, at http://www.ourworldgce.net/currentactivities.htm
