UPDATES ON TSUNAMI RELIEF (see http://www.iearn.org/tsunami_relief.html for more information)

STUDENTS IN TAIWAN HELP TSUNAMI-AFFECTED SCHOOLS. In June, all of the special education teachers and most of the special needs students in the Ho Ping Elementary School in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, worked together to hold a charity bazaar in their school. The charity bazaar includes foods selling, a traditional game, and a flea market. Many teachers and students in other classes donated their money and materials for this activity. Jennifer Yu writes "We also felt very moved that some of our students' parents and another iEARN teacher and her senior high students came to help us. We spent half a day for this bazaar and almost everything was sold out. Our special needs students learnt a lot from this project and they felt happy to be able to help others, sending about US$790 to Project H.O.P.E." Here is their project website:
