The fox’s main habitat is woodland but it is common in farmland and scrubland as well. The animal is very adaptable and is often found in towns, where it eats from dustbins for food. In the wild, foxes hunt rabbits, mice and birds but they also eat eggs, insects and fruit. Foxes are mainly awake at night. The fox's body length is 60-70cm and the tail length is 35-45cm.

Wolf

Sweden does have wolves but not at all of the numbers foreigners usually expect. The total population is about 100. The wolf is protected and is slowly beginning to renumber. A fully grown male can be very impressive, weighing up to 70 kilograms. It is very difficult to spot a wolf in Sweden but there are areas where known groups can be heard, particularly in Värmland along the Norwegian border.

The Elk

The elk lives in the forest. The elk is very big and has one very big horn on its head. Every year many elks die in car accidents. Most of the elks live in the north of Sweden. Lots of tourists like the elk especially the Germans. The elks can be very dangerous when they have small babies. But in most cases they run away when they see a human.
