Bergkvara Water Festival
I’m going to tell you about a very special event in my life, Bergkvara Water Festival in 2007. The festival is arrange by a small soccer association Bergkvara AIF which is a non -profit sport organization. Since I play soccer in that club I helped to make the festival possible. The festival started many years ago at that moment it was a very small event, but during the years it has grown bigger and bigger.
The preparations had started already in December. But I didn’t start working until a week before the even when everything should be build. It was the 15th of July 10 am, and we had a meeting, in the meeting they told us what we should do until Saturday. For example we had to build the stage and the beer tent and put up fence. Later that day we started to work. Everything went as planned. Everyone was happy and full of expectation. They were happy because the work went good and full of expectation because the it got closer and closer to Saturday.
But two days before the event things started to be harder. The artistes come up with new demands. They wanted a bigger stage so we build it bigger. But it was really stressful.
“The big night” was finally here but the work was far from done. People started to fill the area from 2 p.m. the weather was good, everything was perfect. At 10 p.m when the biggest artiste of the evening Andreas Johnsson was on stage I think it was over 5000 people on the area. It was amazing! The feeling when almost everybody was singing “Glorious“ at the same time is indescribable. The night was amazing! The whole week was great!
