The little red hen was very good at baking and cooking and she spent many hours every day in the kitchen. But one day she felt very tired of all household work and decided to ask her friends for help.
She asked Bark (the dog) Meaw (the cat) and Squeak (the mouse) if they couldn’t prepare lunch together that day. All of them thought it was a good idea.
The little red hen asked: “What do you want for lunch today?”
“I’m dying for a soup”. said the cat.
“Me too”, said the mouse.
Bark knew that the red little hen had a lovely garden plot so he continued:
“You have so many fresh vegetables in your garden. Couldn’t we make a vegetable soup?”
“That’s a good idea” replied the red little hen.
