Amy Winehouse
Amy Jade Winehouse was an English singer and songwriter. She was born i London 1983 and known both in England and the rest of the world. She was almost more known for her abuse than for her music. She beginned her music career 1998 and her first album "Frank" came out. She had very deep contralto vocals. Her music was a mix of R&B, soul and jazz. Her music have also been affected of her abuse of alcohol and drugs, her last album "Back to black" was a lot about that. The album came out 2006 and got 6 grammy award nominees and 5 wins 2008. That made Amy Winehouse to the first Brittish female to win 5 grammys. She have sold 4 million albums.
Rehab
rehab is one of her most known singles. it came out with the album back to black. it's about when she was going to rehab but she did'nt want to. she did'nt want to go because she thouhgt that it would'nt help her and she knew that she should stop drinking and taking drugs. She sings "i don't ever wanna drink again" I think that she also did'nt want to go because she did'nt want to fail her fans. i think she wrote the song because she wanted to share a hard time in her life. i also think that she wanted to show everybody that she would be alright and that she was getting better.
Her abuse
Her life was very affected of her abuse. in june 2011 she had to cancel her europe tour. She had an alcohol abuse and she died 23 july 2011. She took so much alcohol that it would be her direct cause of death. She is mourned of her family, friends and fans. She was only 27 when she died.
