Kamala Harris, USA’s first female president.
Kamala Harris has gone to history as the first female president of the United States of America only being 57 years old, which sounds like a lot, but when compared to other presidents it isn’t that old.
In November of 2021,The White House released a statement about Joe Biden, the president.The statement regarded Joe Biden’s routine healthcare inspection, in which the doctors had to perform a colonoscopy on him, a procedure where a slim tube is inserted into the rectum to check for signs of cancer or polyps. This required him to get anesthesia. The USA has a law that is used in cases of emergency. This law transfers the presidential power to the VP whenever the president isn’t able to govern the country himself. Kamala Harris, the Vice President at the time, got to be president for about 90 minutes while Joe Biden was under anesthesia. She was the first black female, south Asian president ever, and the second black president after Obama.
A similar thing happened in Sweden in November 2021 when Magdalena Andersson, a member of the Swedish socialist party was assigned the post of Prime Minister, the highest position a politician can work in. Due to the strained conditions in the Swedish political game she had to resign because of failed support for the spending budget.
My thoughts.
I think that the USA's first female president should have been president for the whole term instead of being it for ninety minutes. It would also be nice if she was the elected president and not president because of health circumstances. Imagine Americans in fifty years when people from different countries brag about their first female president, and the Americans try to change the conversation so they don’t have to tell everyone that the president had to get anesthesia to check for cancer in his butt. Under the time she was president she didn’t do anything remarkable, but with the time she had, no one expected anything extraordinary from her.
