Bristol Murder

The main character of the book is Peter Jones. He is 22 years old and works as
a lorry driver.
The book starts when Peter is going with his lorry to Manchester, when he
sees a hitchhiker, John Stevens.
John Stevens is 16 years old and lives with his uncle in Bristol. And now he
is running away from home.
John told Steven that he had hit his uncle.
On their’s (their) way to Manchester they got stopped by cops who said that they was (were)
looking for a young boy who has killed his uncle. They were looking for John.
But they couldn’t find John in the lorry. Because he was sleeping in the
back. John was very lucky because Peter didn’t told the cops and the cops wasn’t so accurate in their looking in the lorry. When they came to Manchester Peter had to deliver the things that were in the lorry. So John had to do something while he was waiting. He went to
the cinema. There he met a girl and asked what/who she was waiting for. She was
waiting for her boyfriend, but he was very late. So they went together. But when
her boyfriend finally showed up he was very angry. He warned John and disappered. Later when her boyfriend came back he had a whole gang who started a fight with John. Once more John had been lucky because peter showed up exactly when the fight started and he stopped it. Before that Peter had been looking for a friend who maybe could help him. He found the friend and they talked about John’s crime. But Peter didn’t think it was John who was the killer.
When they came back to Bristol they met a new character Bob Steel. It was he
who should help them to find out who the killer was. Bob Steel is 42 years
old and sells information to the police. Bob Steel told them that the killer
was about John’s size and age. That made Peter and Jones think that he meant
John, so they got very angry. Later Bob told the police where John was and
they took him to the arrest and asked him questions. Peter got very angry
and looked out for Bob. He had to wait outside Bob’s house for a long time.
When he saw him, Bob had another person with him. Peter started to chase them so
they split up. Peter decided to chase Bob. After a while he caught up with
him and they went up to Bob’s apartment. Peter got some information from Bob
and tied him to a chair. Peter went to the school where John’s uncle worked and talked to a person who told him that a boy named Tommy had been talking very angry to John’s uncle. Peter
went to a cafe to see the boy, Tommy. When Tommy saw Peter he ran away. He
took his motorbike and went to Bob. Then Peter chased them whit his lorry.
They drove so fast so the police started to chase them. The motorbike
crashed into the lorry, and they all got arrested. They were lucky that they didn’t get hurt.
In prison Bob told them everything about what he had seen and they took Tommy to jail. Bob had seen Tommy kill his teacher. All time Bob got money from Tommy so he should be quiet and not tell the police about what he had seen. So both Bob and Tommy went to prison and John was free.

The writer wants to teach us that crime doesn’t pay and it’s bad to lie. And always think about what you are doing before you do it.
The book was good and not hard to understand.
I liked the book because it was instructive and had a little action in it to.
