The summary of Bristol Murder

Anni 2007-03-21

John is a sixteen years old boy, who lives with his uncle in Bristol. He is thin, of medium height, has brown hair and brown eyes. He wants to be out with his friends, but his uncle doesn’t let him go. He is a nice guy and mature for his age. John was wanted by the police when he was hitch-hiking to Manchester with Peter and his lorry. Peter is a 22 years old man, who lives with his mum in Bridgewater. He is thin, has dark hair and brown eyes. He is spoilt of his mum. He is very nice even if he is spoilt. He works like a lorry driver. John said that he hadn’t murdered his uncle. Peter trusted him and helped him. When they came to Manchester, Peter talked to his old friends, who had been in prison. He tought they could help John. One of Peter’s friends gave him a tip of a person who maybe could give them some information. John and Peter went to that person who was Bob Steel. When they came to him, he turned out to be a fraud. When John was waiting for Bob Steel, because Bob would tell the information he had, Bob didn’t come because he had told the police that he knew where John was. The police came and took John. I’m very angry with Bob Steel because he did that. They trusted him, how could he do that? He was just out of the money.
When John was in the police car, Peter saw John and tried to find out who really had murdered John’s uncle. He went to school, where John’s uncle had worked and found out that he was very mean to his students, especial to one, Tommy Logan. When he tried to find Tommy Logan, he saw him with Bob Steel. The guy and Bob Steel went fast on a motorbike and Peter tried to follow after. They drove so fast that the police went after them. In the end the motorbike crashed into the lorry, which was in the middle of the road. Tommy Logan tried to run away, but Peter ran after him. Bob Steel was hurt by the motorbike so he lay beside the motorbike. When Peter had got Tommy Logan, a policeman came too.

At the police station, they found out that Tommy Logan: the uncle’s student, had killed John’s uncle. He had got very much homework and he had said that. When he did that, the uncle had laughed and just made fun of him. Then they argued and he hit him, Tommy hit back and then the uncle fell and died. I felt so angry of him, poor Tommy. He didn’t do it on purpose! I think the uncle should loose his job for a long time!! How could his colleagues respect what he was doing to his students! Why didn’t any see what he was doing?

The Message
I think that one of the messages is that you wouldn’t climb a person you don’t know. The police thought it was John directly, even if they didn’t know him. Another message I think, is that you can’t trust everybody. John and Peter trusted Bob Steel and they shouldn’t do that.

I liked the book!
I liked the book because it was exiting to read and it was quiete easy. I thought it was exiting all time and I didn’t think it was the murderer who it really was in the end. I think other must read it!
