Presents at Christmas in Spain Traditionally presents were given in Spain only for the three kings also called the three wise men. Their origin is in the catholic religion because when Christ was born the three wise men went to Belén and gave some presents to the baby. So every year, above all, the children receive toys on January 6th as an old tradition. From about twenty years on, besides, children are given presents by Papá Noel on December 25 th . That is the name of Father Christmas in Spain. It is an influence of the rest of Europe, the advantage is that children can play with them during their holidays. So children in Spain receive toys twice. It is said it is too much.

First children write a letter to them and go to a parade on January 5th.
