CONCLUSIONS OF THE FIRST MEETING LONDON NOVEMBER 2006
We all thank to Alison Fleeg from William Davids Primary School her friendly reception.
The conclusions are:
1. The calendar for this year will be flexible, It is not necessary to follow month by month.
2. This year all the schools will show a summary of their practices (focusing in those that are considered more interesting) according to the topics of the project and as well about their schools, National Education System, town, county and if It is considered important their countries.
3. Some of these documents (articles, photos, presentations, videos) may be shown to the pupils and rest of the staff of the school.
4. Besides Information will be uploaded to the websites by using the guides to do it or send the files to Ewa if you cannot do it by yourselves.
5. The project should not add lots of tasks to our jobs, above all we have to exchange information as a way of teaching training and a reflection of what we are teaching.
6. It is important to have a substitute for the leader of the Comenius-project in each school. Please, decide, who would be the one in your school, and send his/her e-mail address to everyone. From now on let´s send all the messages to both: To the contact person and her/his substitute. (If someone for.ex. get seriously ill, or changes school the project can go on.)
7. The second year each school can choose or concentrate on topics what they think they can do the best and create a bank of theoretical corpus and best practices. I think that if for example you prefer Emotional education, a general/global view of what this topic is related to, must be shown, but you can highlight your best practices about it (avoid bulling, how you develop self confident…)
8. It has not been discussed what to do the third year. One possibility would be that each school design and develop a campaign to promote the topic that they prefer. It will be as advertisements for parents, children or/and community in general, using the means or subjects that they want. All the topics must be divided into to be completed all of them although more than one can be chosen for each school.
9. Interaction between pupils will be possible in the ways that the school will decide. It can be only two by two for example. English as a common language can be used in that situation.
10. The meetings for the second year, will be hold in FINLAND FROM DECEMBER 10TH TO 14TH 2007 and in WALSALL FROM MAY 1ST TO 5TH 2008. In SPAIN FROM MAY 1ST TO 5TH 2007.
