My intermediate level English Learners are interested in writing to other students their age from around the world to share cultural information and to make new friends. They have come to the United States from other countries - most are Spanish-speaking. Having ePals gives them an authentic opportunity to practice what they have learned with others who are also learning English as a second (or third +) language. They will be able to start writing in October and continue throughout the school year - which ends in early June. All communication will be done via email.
About Mrs.Gibson: Mrs.Gibson teaches English Language Development and SDAIE Computer Applications. She chairs the Multilingual Department and is the lead teacher for the Multilingual Academy. She also serves as the webmaster and a Technology Resource Teacher.
