Hi my name is Sharlene. I go to Sussex Avenue School. I have only 2 brothers and 5 god sisters and 4 god brothers. One of my brothers Joendy is the biggest he is 14 and my little brother is 3 and turning 4 in 2 months. I am in 5th grade. It’s a pleasure to meet someone from another country. Are you a boy or girl?
In Newark we have 82 schools for elementary and high school students. I like to eat a lot of junk food and healthy food like ice-cream, candy, cereal, soda, chicken and plenty others. Mostly my mom and dad want to keep me healthy. Do your parents want you to be healthy all the times? I am 10 years old and I’m turning 11 in 10 days like my baby brother expect we have different dates his is on May 21 and mine is on May 18. So he will be turning 4 in 13 days on a Sunday. What school do you go? I heard in Sweeten you guys speak protégées and you have different kinds of stuff like our computer teacher has shown us. It seems that in Sweeten is very fantastic and it might be a fun place to go and visit. Do you celebrate Christmas or Easter, Hanukkah, and any other holidays that we celebrate do you celebrate them?
My favorite holiday is my birthday and Christmas because I get presents and have time to spend with my family. Do you have any favorite holidays? I never new about Sweden until now I hear you guys do different things than what we do here. I wish I would visit Sweden it might be very enjoyable and fun to see what you guys do. I wish I could learn how to speak protégées if only you guys can teach me. My dad’s friend knows how to speak protégées.
Do you now how to speak English If you want I can teach you. It’s funny that maybe one day we both can meet and figure out things we never new before. Have you ever been to a movie theater before or to a zoo or ice-skating before? Well sometimes in our Sussex Avenue School after school program we go to many trips including these subjects. Did you ever wondered if many one day we will meet I love to meet new people from other countries and other states. Do you guys ever have a pet? Or do you ever wish to? I used to have a little kitty but my dad let it go away because my mom was having my baby brother and he have allergies so we got fishes and birds really nice colorful ones. I can’t wait until my birthday I am going to Chuck E Cheese, Apple bees and to the Skating Rink. Do you have any Skating Rink in Sweden? Well I think that Sweden might be the one for me to learn about. I like to listen to Hip-Hop, R&B , and just all kind of music what do you guys listen to? Did you ever meet a famous artist or singer? I didn’t but I wish to. I hope you receive our boxes we brought a bunch of special things for you guys to see what we eat, and all kinds of things. Do you guys have any restaurants or playfully places for little kids to have fun at? I have 11 best friends in my school like Latasia, Leicy, Nieasha, Rosandis, Chris, Icey, Keyahna, Jashmira, Nykia, Matajah and Jennifer. I can’t believe that I have 3 cousins in my school they all three live together. Leicy, Kelvin and Kelvin sister Kiara.
I have like about more than 5 cousins a bunch is in New York and a little is in New Jersey. I visit my cousins in New York almost every Saturday or Sundays I go.
How many cousins do you got? In school all teachers wants to make every class very smart and able to get a degree and go to collage. I wish I could be able to go to collage to get a degree and I will only if I listen to my teachers like I always do and then when I go to collage and have a job my parents and teacher will be so happy then I can teach my children to and my brother to be good In school. I plan to be a teacher when I grow up and to teach my class to be good don’t follow others and to get a degree. What do you plan to be when you grow up? What king of food you eat and what movies do you watch? Are you in any special partipuation? Well I am, Me and my friends are in Chorus, cheerleading, the rising scholar and also plena dancing, cmcd and most of all I am in focus after school where they help in homework, activities, parties and also get ready for the NJASK 5 for the 5th graders. Even dough I participate in 6 activities I can still be good on Math, Language Arts, science, and social studies because I make sure I first do my work then participate in all different activities. I wish that you could teach me Swedish I would be able to talk to you without anyone translating each time. Do you have a favorite subject you like in school and think your best at? Well I do, I think I now Language a lot because I can do a lot of good writing and adverbs, pronouns, adjective and all that by the way do you guys learn about stuff like that in your schools? I heard that you guys always have homework every day we do to. What is it like in Sweden? I wish I could visit someday.
Do you have a favorite meal or food that you just eat everyday I do, I like Chicken, fired chicken, any kind of chicken I will eat. Umm ,Umm and Umm. Almost everyday we have a Daily Writing Prompt it’s when we have a prompt that we do daily and we can make a story about. Have you ever had a prompt like that before? I love to eat a lot of junk food like McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy’s, and a lot more. Do you have any of those restaurants any of ours? I am turning 11 in May that’s good because i'm getting a lot of gifts plus I’m getting to have that day just for me. I hope you’d like my questions and story I hope to meet you.
