Dear Sarah

Hello, my name is Tyshonnah and
I’m a 5th grade student at Sussex Aveune School in Newark, New Jersey. It is a pleasure to meet you. I’m 4’2 inches tall and I have black hair and brown eyes, which look black in the dark. We have many different things in our country that’s different then yours. So let me tell you what goes on in our country.
In school we study many different things like: social studies, math, science, and language arts. Here in Newark we have 82 schools. How many schools do you have in the town where you live? What kinds of food do you eat for lunch?
At my school we eat foods like; vegetables, rice,
Pizza, and for drinks we have a choice of milk and juices. We have three choices for our milk, the choices are: strawberry, chocolate, and white milk. What kinds of milk do you drink?
So now lets talk about our pets. Do you have a pet? If so, what kind? I use to have a cat for a pet, but it was so small that my brother stepped on it by mistake. Now I no longer have my pet cat, Snowball. I was sad for a while but I got over it. Someday I’ll get another pet, maybe a ferret.
In Newark we can do many fun activities. We do things like go to the movies, go skating at Branch Brook
Park, and go swimming at the neighborhood pool.
