How teenagers look upon themselves

Some years ago a study was made among young people in senior high. It was about how teenagers looked upon themselves.
52% of the girls were not happy with themselves. Many boys felt the same but the percentage among them was lower.
1. Why aren´t people happy with the way they look?
2. Who "set the rules" what people should look like?
3. Can you imagine any situation when you would like to have a surgery done?
4. Is it important to be beautiful and well-shaped? Why/why not?
5. Are there other qualities that are more important than having a beautiful body and face? What qualities?
