Hi the Czech Republic!

William Kinberg 2008-02-08

Hello my name is William Kinberg and I am 15 years old. I go in grade 9D. I come from a small town called Torsås. In Torsås municipality lives around seven thousand people so it’s not big at all. Torsås municipality consists of four smaller villages called Söderåkra, Bergkvara, Torsås and the smallest one of them all is Gullabo. This school where I am going called Torskolan is quite big and really good. In 2005 it got Sweden’s best school award. Here in Sweden we don’t have many after school activities, particular not here in Torsås. I think we maybe have between five and ten things so it is not so much to choose between. But I like Sweden as a country a lot. I mean we have a lot of forests to walk in and a lot of nature to camp in if we want to. A lot of young people here are interested in football and floor ball, I don’t know if you know what it is but it is like bandy but not so much safety equipment and bandy is played on ice and floor ball is played on usual sports hall floor. You have similar clubs and a little white ball full with small holes. Here in Sweden we talk a lot about what we think is important, the environment and the Global warming and how to stop it. Oh I nearly forgot I think we have quite different reports in school we have IG, G, VG and MVG. In school it stands for IG= not passed, G= passed, VG= very good and the top report MVG that stand for very well done. We get our first reports in the eight grade. In the future if everything goes as planned I’m going to become a vet. Everyday in school we go from 8.00 o’clock in the morning to three o’clock afternoon, except for Tuesdays and Wednesday when we starts a little earlier and Thursdays when we ends a little earlier. Now in the ninth grade it is really stressful because we have nearly two test we have per week. Now because of something called National tests in Swedish, maths and English but at the same time we have the National test we also have to study to the ordinary tests in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, German and all the other school subjects so it is really stressful. Otherwise we live a quite calm and happy life. I think a lot of Sweden’s people work and stress to much but if you just plan a little bit and take it easy everything would be nearly perfects. Bye and I hope to hear from you soon
