Kenya - a different journeyThink of Kenya. Safaris and beach holidays probably come to mind. Look a bit closer and you´ll find a different world! Last year Johanna Wallander (a former student at Torskolan) visited Kenya, the north-western part and worked at a school with orphan children for three months.
The Swedish/English class in Torskolan grade 8 invited Johanna to school to tell about the everyday life in Kenya and her experiences and impressions. It was very interesting and we learned lots of new things. Assignments1. Write shortly about: - the school in Kenya - the food - their homes - the orphans - the criminality - the wild animals ... or other things that you remember from Johanna´s lecture. 2. Learn more about the geography, the environment, the people and the society in Kenya: Cool Planet Write a short summary.
