Hi Europe!

Here in Sweden, we’re about 9 million people, and, as you maybe know, our capital is Stockholm, that lies in the centre of Sweden, on the eastcoast. We also have the two biggest islands Gothland and Oland. To Gothland, you can only go by boat, but to Oland, you can go either by car over the bridge between mainland and the island, or also by boat if you want to. You maybe also know, that between Sweden and Denmark, there’s a bridge too. Very famous. We have some typical food and dishes here in Sweden, that many of you guys don’t know anything about, or only have seen once or twice. Well, of course there are our Swedish meatballs (that you can buy in IKEA, if you got IKEA in Poland, IKEA is very very famous over the world, especially in Europe, and the founder that made IKEA is very rich by that now. His name is Ingvar Kamprad.) There is also a “cheesecake”, it’s very special, because it’s not the same consistency as the “usual” cheesecake you may eat all over the world. It’s more like a soft sponge cake but not that sweet, and it tastes cheese, and you eat it with strawberry jam and whipped cream. And I guess meat from a moose is typical Swedish…
The young students here in Sweden are all allowed to go in school, they have to, they must. Here where I live, it’s common you start a school day at 8 o’clock and probably you will end it around 14-15 o’clock, but that depends on what age you are in, which city or village you live in and which school you go in. We usually have homework every day, (but that really depends.) I think, sometimes we have too much homework at one time, and if we do have a test the same week as all that homework, I’ll get really stressed. I know that many students, and also I, need free time after school, and not just sit around the desk 24 hours per day. I mean, ONE or TWO homework can I go along with, per day, if they’re quite small. But two or three big homework, AND a test, NO WAY. Never. I will choose away the homework, and only focus on the test, or else, I’ll get panic. I will do everything, but I will do it bad. So – Less homework wouldn’t hurt! But I do like the school, not just all homework. It’s more easier here in Swedish schools, I think, compared to other countries. It’s not that horrible to go to school, as it maybe are in countries where children get punished or hurt.
But that’s about my opinion. Maybe it’s not like that.
We do have a few days without homework, of course, when we just hang out with friends or do sports (In our area it’s common you play football, floorball, maybe basketball, handball, tennis or golf.), go to cinema or listen to music. Anything.
Some young people are just out for “fun” and destroy things, you can read it in the newspaper almost every day ; “Youngsters people vanished the school” or “Young people are playing with fire works”. It’s like so annoying, because I live in the centre of this village.
