Water Ecology Exchange between Imberhorne School and Vasaskolan June 2008
Ten biology students from Vasaskolan and ten biology students from A-level participated in the student exchange at East Grindstead and Isle of Wight. 10-year-anniversary exchange!
First day we spent in Lower school at Imberhorne attending science lessons. The next three days were spent on Isle of Wight doing ecological field work, eg. comparing biological diversity in three ponds, studying successions of plants on a salt marsh and investigating relations between species on a hard bottom at low tide. After oral presentations of results, there was time for games like “Rounders” and boule. As usual we had interested students and also beautiful weather.
Last night we spent in London with some shopping, sight seeing and attending the musical “Mamma Mia!”.
