SLIDESHOW The project consists of two phases: 1. INTERNATIONAL DIARY /multimedia report/ (November 2006 - October 2007) 2. INTERNATIONAL AMBASSADORS (November 2007 - June 2008)

1. INTERNATIONAL DIARY /multimedia report/
(November 2006 - October 2007)
2. INTERNATIONAL AMBASSADORS
(November 2007 - June 2008)

Phase 1. INTERNATIONAL DIARY /multimedia report
(November 2006 - October 2007)

A website with monthly school press photo-reportages (pictures, movies) of national holidays & anniversaries celebrated on national level (students are ambassadors of own country)

Each participating school prepares:
· a list of national holidays with short description, which will be published on the website [November '06]
· a short press photo report of each event and send them to coordinator for online publishing [each month]
On the website an International Diary with the list of events in all participating countries and multimedia school reports will be published monthly. An e-card service will be available for sending wishes as well.

Phase 2. INTERNATIONAL AMBASSADORS
(November 2007 - June 2008)

Multimedia presentations of national holidays, celebrations in Asia and Europe (students become the ambassadors of the other country). After one year, each participating school will choose one other country (across continents) (have to be twin cooperation) with the aim to be an ambassador for that country in own local community. They will study traditions and prepare a multimedia presentation (ppt / flash) of national celebrations for online publishing. Additionally, the school should make contact with the embassy of chosen country for interview and prepare some presentation/exhibition aim to promote that country in local community. Each school should prepare one celebration/take part in one holiday of the chosen event in that country and send a multimedia report for online publishing. Rationale for the Project: This project will try to establish the link between different kinds of celebrations in Asia and Europe. As we believe, it will help to know and understand better the spirit of cultural manners. It will bring students from Asia and Europe closer to each other, through the process of self presentation as well as in a study of different traditions in the 'monthly lessons'. And we believe that it will help them to better understand their own traditions and historical/cultural roots as well.

Expected Contribution from Asian and European Schools/Students:

1. November 2006 - July 2007
Each school becomes an ambassador of own country and is asked to prepare a list of national holidays with short description, which will be published on the website (November). Then, each school prepares a press photo report: their own pictures and eventually movies of each event and send them to the coordinator for online publishing on the project website. Chosen by each school the best four representative photos for each event, which will be published on the front page, the others can be linked through a photo-album service. It is also possible to include some important national anniversaries (celebrated on national level) and some other important events/celebrations.

2. November 2007 - June 2008
Each school is an ambassador of other country. Make a twinning collaboration: each school from Asia chooses one country participating in the project and selects a school from Europe (or reverse) and then prepares multimedia presentation (ppt and/or flash) of national celebrations of that country for online publishing. Additionally, the school should make contact with the embassy of chosen country for interview and to prepare some presentation/exhibition with the aim to promote that country in their local community. Each school should prepare one celebration/take part in one holiday of the chosen country and send a multimedia report of that event for online publishing.Minimum Number of Schools/Students Involved: Minimum 3 schools from different countries in Asia and Europe .It is possible to establish password protected accounts for self-uploading of photos with description

Proposed Duration of Project: November 2006 - July 2008 ICT Tools/ Software Required: Digital camera, computer, website, newspaper creation..
